This recipe came about because I wanted to use up green peppers from the garden. It’s quick, easy and even my picky friends have asked for the recipe.

| 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni |
| 1 pound lean ground beef |
| 1 medium onion, chopped |
| 2 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped |
| salt and pepper to taste |
| 1 package processed cheese food, cubed |
| 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup |
| ¼ cup milk, or as needed |
Steps:
- Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni, and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain.
- Meanwhile, place the ground beef and onion into a large skillet, and cook, stirring to crumble, until meat is no longer pink, and onion is tender. Just before the beef is done, add the bell peppers, and cook until tender, but still green. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the cheese food, condensed soup and milk to make a thick sauce.
- Remove from the heat, and stir in the macaroni noodles. Serve and enjoy!

One of the many reasons we love SONIC is because it is one of the few places we can eat that offers food that everyone in our family loves. Who would have ever thought it would be so hard to get 5 people to agree on where to eat, but the struggle is real. Our two daughters do not like cheeseburgers, but luckily SONIC also offers their ooey gooey grilled cheeses, awesome hot dogs and breakfast anytime which our daughters love and they are huge fans of the Breakfast Toasters and Ultimate Meat and Cheese Breakfast Burritos. It is also our favorite place to stop for a quick snack, we especially love happy hour with the half price drinks and an order of Mozzarella Sticks or Cheese Fries gets us by in between meals.
The only thing better than a cheeseteak is a footlong cheesesteak and SONIC is where to get them. Using the same soft, steamed bun that you know and love from their footlong coney SONIC is offering for a limited time a Classic Footlong Philly or zest it up with the Spicy Footlong Philly.

Two varieties are available Classic and Spicy.
The Classic version features grilled steak, onions, cheese sauce, and, um, mayo? Is mayonnaise a standard cheesesteak condiment? The Spicy version comes with grilled steak, onion, cheese sauce, zesty Baja sauce, and spicy jalapenos.
The Philly Cheesesteaks in hot dog buns have an advertised price of $3.99. Theyre available for a limited time at participating Sonic locations.

The Extra Long Ultimate Cheesesteaks Come In Two Varieties
You don’t have to live in Philly to find a perfectly good cheesesteak. They’re all over the place, and during the month of February, the American delicacy is more accessible than ever.
Sonic Drive-In just unveiled two Extra Long Ultimate Cheesesteaks, which are tater-topped upgrades from the chain’s Footlong Philly Cheesesteaks that briefly appeared on menus in 2018.
The basic Extra Long Ultimate Cheesesteak comes with seasoned sirloin steak, grilled onions, melted Cheddar cheese, zesty cheese sauce, and crispy Tots on an extra-long bun. Simple as it seems, the addition of tater tots transforms the otherwise average cheesesteak into a much more exciting creation.
If you want to turn up the heat, you can order a Spicy Extra Long Ultimate Cheesesteak, which takes all the same ingredients and adds sliced jalapeños. Both varieties are sold at a suggested retail price of $4.29.
You probably know by now that good things never last, and Sonic’s giant potato cheesesteaks are no exception. The sandwiches will only be available through Sunday, February 28.

Subway has long been the standard for the footlong sandwich. Even with the passing of the $5 Footlong deal and the fact that their bread doesn’t always measure up, the sandwich giant is known for price and size with its subs.
They just got a cheaper and heftier rival in the sandwich space, though, as Sonic Drive-In just unveiled Footlong Cheesesteaks at a price that tops anything that Subway’s got.
Priced at $3.99 each, Sonic’s cheesesteaks come in at a dollar less than the iconic Subway sandwich deal. They’re available in two forms: the Classic, with grilled steak, onions, and cheese sauce, and the Spicy, which adds on Baja sauce and sliced jalapenos.
Few other fast food chains have a similar item on the menu, with Jack in the Box having sold one for $4.99 and Arby’s carrying one for just over $5. Subway also has the option available, but not as a $5 footlong, making it quite more expensive than Jack and Arby’s, and Sonic’s cheesesteak is a bargain at its significantly lower price.
Sonic’s cheesesteaks are a limited-time offer, but given their price and the ubiquitous popularity of the Philly cheesesteak, there’s always the possibility for it to stick around for longer than anticipated.
Is There Anything Else I Need To Know
Theres also a Spicy variation, containing the grilled meat and onions and the melty cheese, but with the extra addition of zesty Baja sauce and spicy jalapenos. I was intrigued, sure, but if I want to Baja sauce my food, Im going to make a run for the border and trust the bad hombres at Taco Bell for that. Lo siento, Sonic.
