How To Make Carne Asada Tacos
Step 1: Marinate the carne asada for 30 minutes to 4 hours and then let the meat come to room temperature. Heat your grill on high heat and brush some olive oil over the grates to keep the meat from sticking. Then cook the meat for a few minutes on each side. The great thing about Carne Asada is that the meat is cut thin so it will cook through quickly. Take the meat off of the grill once you have achieved the desired doneness and let it rest for 5 minutes before cutting it into small pieces for the tacos.
Step 2: Warm tortillas over a stove burner.
Step 3: Add carne asada on top of each tortilla.
Step 4: Top with some guacamole.
Step 5: Top with a homemade Pico de Gallo. To make Pico de Gallo, simply dice the 3 Roma tomatoes, ½ onion, 1 jalapeño, ½ cup of cilantro, ¼ cup of lime juice, a big pinch of salt, and mix together. The fantastic produce that I found at ALDI really made this salsa shine.
Step 6: Finish off the carne asada street tacos with shredded cheese.

What Are The Usda Meat Grades
The United States Department of Agriculture grades meat at the request of the meatpacker.
The grading system determines the quality rating based on the amount of marbling in the muscle and the age of the beef.
There are generally three USDA grades of beef that you would buy from the supermarket. From highest to lowest, they are:
- Prime
- Select
The highest quality of meat is USDA Prime.
It is the most tender and flavorful cut of meat. It is also hard to find and usually reserved for high-end restaurants. You may be able to find it at the supermarket occasionally but at a premium price.
In short, the higher the ratio of marbling, and the younger the cow, the higher the grade.
The marbling determines the tenderness, juiciness, and flavor. Younger beef produces a finer texture, making it more tender.
The second-highest grade is Choice.
It has less marbling and is generally less tender. Less marbling also means less flavor and juice.
USDA Select is the lowest grade of steak youll find at the supermarket.
It is very lean and tougher than other cuts.
USDA Cutter and Canner grades are meats that are typically found in convenience foods, like microwave burritos, pot pies, and other processed food products.
When shopping for steak, be sure to look for the USDA shield.
Many grocers will mark packages as prime or choice, but unless it has the USDA shield, its most likely a marketing ploy.

Bolners Uncle Chris $5 Filet Steaks

So Im laughing as I keep typing $5 filet. Im sorry I dont have any pictures of the steaks before I cooked them or before we devoured them. I really wasnt planning on posting this online as it was just a quick weeknight meal. Im sure Ill have to do another post with proper documentation. I just felt that I needed to show how well this Uncle Chris seasoning is until I have time to do that. I mean, I dont know Chris, but his steak seasoning is incredible.
It literally smells like butter, and that flavor stays with the steak throughout the cook. I dont care if youre a quick and direct cooker or reverse sear. The great flavor never goes away.
Look at the video and pictures below, look at the parsley/green herbs even after the steak is cooked. This is good stuff!
Bolners Uncle Chris Steak Seasoning
5.5oz $4.25
Im a mostly salt+pepper guy when it comes to steak, heck even brisket at that. But this just does something to a steak that you will keep coming back to. It turned those $5 steaks into what youd pay for a steakhouse steak at lunch.
There arent really any negative points about this seasoning, other than I personally wouldnt use it on anything but a steak. Theres plenty of people that claim its great on beef fajitas, but I have my favorites in that department and I dont think this flavor profile goes with tex-mex.

Arbys Has Good News For Fans Of Its Prime Rib Cheesesteak
Arbys is closing out the summer in style by bringing back its Prime Rib Cheesesteak sandwiches, according to The Fast Food Post. Arbys introduced the Prime Rib Cheesesteak and Spicy Prime Rib Cheesesteak sandwiches on its limited-time-only menu almost exactly one year ago, per Chew Boom. Arbys didnt elevate the two offerings to the permanent menu, but the chain thought highly enough of the steak sandwiches to bring them back now, so you can have one more comfort food option to get you through the back-to-school season.
Prices vary by location, but The Fast Food Post reports that Arbys is offering the sub-style sandwich for $6.29 or $9.19 for the full meal, which comes with fries and a drink. The standard version of the sandwich comes with provolone cheese, onions, and fire-roasted red and yellow peppers on a toasted sub roll, per the Arbys menu page. The spicy sandwich adds a Korean barbecue sauce, according to an Arbys ingredients list.

Hardcore Carnivore Black Steak Meat And Bbq Seasoning
Highlighted Features
- Features a blend of seasonings including food-grade activated charcoal from coconut husks
- Offers a steak seasoning with a smoky and slightly bitter taste with earthy notes
- Includes high-quality ingredients with no MSG and a gluten-free formulation
Another of the steak seasonings that originates in Texas is Hardcore Carnivore Black Steak, Meat, and BBQ Seasoning, and it has a lot of interesting things going for it.
The most interesting is that the steak seasoning is jet black, which comes from the charcoal that is used in its creation to add flavor, texture, and color to steak and other meats. It has a unique flavor that may be appreciated by those who arent fans of traditional steak seasonings and offers a new choice for those who do.
When you open up the container, youll smell smoked garlic along with onion, chili powder, and black pepper, which are blended well to ensure they dont overpower one another.
However, the spices inside can settle over time, so its a good idea to shake up the bottle a bit before you use it each time, so you get all the flavors instead of just one or two.
This is a seasoning that will be noticed for its smell, taste, and the dark coating it adds to any meat. However, it doesnt fit everyones tastes, so making sure the ingredient list includes things you enjoy can be a good idea if youre still unsure.

How To Reheat Pizza
The best method for reheating pizza is in the oven. Preheat the oven to 425 and place your pizza on a baking sheet. You can line it with parchment paper for easier clean up if youd like. Once the oven is up to temp, cook the pizza in it for 8-10 minutes, until you can smell it.
The cheese should be almost bubbling and hot, even in the center, and the crust should stay nice and crispy.
Which Cut Of Beef Should I Use
Ribeye is the steak of choice for Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches. It is well-marbled and tender when cooked. Another cut that we have used with great results is flank steak which is lean but very tender when cut against the grain. You will need a little extra oil on your cooking surface if using flank steak.

What Kind Of Steak Should I Use For Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls
I usually use rib-eye or top round.
I slice the raw beef very thin.
Some meat departments will do it for you, if you ask them.
When ready to cook, lightly oil a cast iron skillet and cook the beef over medium, until a temperature of 145 degrees with a thermometer.
I love using the ThermoPop from ThermoWorks.
It has a rotating display which is GREAT for so many things.
This thermometer I use almost every single day in the kitchen.
From candy making, to jellies and jams.
Meat, chicken, seafood and even broths and soups.
Can I use different meat to make Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls?
If you want to save a couple of dollars, you can totally do with a thinner, cheaper cut of meat.
It can often be tougher, so when I do that, I usually slow cook the steak in a crock pot or in the oven until it basically falls apart.
You can buy a lot of meat that way and youll make lots of egg rolls.
So it is a more cost productive way to make them for a crowd.
Since all Air Fryers are different, when testing this recipe, start the cooking time a little lower until you know how long it needs.
I need 6 minutes total, and I flip at the 3 minute mark.

Philly Cheesesteaks With Garlic Cream Cheese Sauce

October 18, 2016 by Tonja
Philadelphias beloved cheesesteak is iconic and a cultural obsession. Most argue the cheesesteak is rarely duplicated successfully outside of Philadelphia. What they do agree on is that the cheesesteak consists of a crusty hoagie roll filled with thinly sliced sautéed beef and melted cheese.
I am not a cheesesteak aficionado but I did create a darn good version here. This starts with sautéed tri-color of bell peppers, onions and mushrooms. Add to that thinly sliced marinated sirlion laid out on a hoagie bun with melted provolone cheese, broiled to perfection and slathered with a garlic cream cheese sauce. Oh yahthis sounds A LOT like game day food to me.
Tip: Freeze sirloin for 30-45 minutes before slicing. Its much easier to get thin slices this way.

What Cut Of Meat Is Best For Philly Cheese Steak
There are a few important factors to create the Best Philly Cheese Steak recipe starting with the cut of meat. Ribeye is the traditional cut of beef and if we werent marinating the beef, I would highly recommend only that for its fat/marbling which keeps the meat moist and flavorful BUT because we are marinating the beef, feel free to substitute a less pricey cut such as top sirloin or skirt.

How To Make Philly Cheese Steak
Slice the beef ribeye steaks across the grain in thin slices. Once sliced, rough chop all of the beef several times going in rows and then columns. You want to have small pieces of beef when youre done so your cheese steaks are easy to eat!
In a heated non-stick skillet with 1 tablespoon butter, cook the mushrooms and half of the onions.
All done! Remove mushrooms and onions from the pan and put them on a plate for now.
I wipe the pan out with a paper towel and add 1/2 tablespoon of butter and saute the peppers and onions.
All done! Remove the onions and peppers from the pan and add to the plate with mushrooms & onions or onto a separate plate depending on preference.
Once again, I wipe the pan with a paper towel and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Add half of the ribeye steak and cook just 2-4 minutes.
Weber Chicago Steak Seasoning
Many of you might know Weber for their grills, but did you know that they also have seasonings and accessories?
It stands to reason since they offer everything else for grilling meat that their Chicago steak seasoning is a top-rated choice on the market.
This is a classic steakhouse seasoning blend. It comes in a large 28oz container, so it is slightly more expensive, but it should last for quite some time.
It has the classic flavors with just a tiny bit of spice for a bold kick but not an overwhelming taste.
This seasoning is great for just about any use. Its flavorful, bold, and high-quality. Its savory and will go well with steak and any other meat. You can even use it on veggies.
The blend contains sea salt, garlic spices, onion, red bell pepper, and red pepper.
Pros:
- A top choice among steak lovers
- Subtle spice for bold flavors
- Great for other meats and veggies
- Simple ingredients with nothing artificial
Cons:
- Some people feel as though the salt is too prominent
- Has a kick of spice, so if you are sensitive to spiciness, this might not be for you

How A Korean Immigrant Amassed A Food Empire By Serving An American Favorite
Charley Shin, founder of Charleys Philly Steaks.
Courtesy of Charleys Philly Steaks
Charley Shin is 15 minutes late to his interview in New York with Forbes Asia. He rushes in apologetically with his wife, Mary, to Gramercy Tavern, a favorite restaurant in Manhattan. It turns out the cab driver was preoccupied with a call from his mother. He couldnt find it in his heart to interrupt.
The waiter recommends the tomato salad and striped bass as her personal favorites. Without another look, he folds the menu and cheerfully accepts.
This easily receptive side of Shin contrasts with the meticulous planning that has gone into his own eateries. Shin, 54, is the Korean-American founder of Charleys Philly Steaks, a sandwich chain founded 33 years ago in Columbus, Ohio, and now boasting 600 locations across 45 U.S. states and 19 countries.
Privately-held Charleys, whose sub options include the classic philly cheese steak and others like an Italian deluxe and chicken teriyaki, maintains an average growth rate of 7% over the past three years and is expected to close 2017 with $500 million.
Mostly franchised, Charleys enjoys a niche predominantly in regional malls, airports and military bases across the U.S., with 503 locations there. The United Arab Emirates is second with 24 locations followed by Saudi Arabia with 10. In Asia it is only present in South Korea and Japan, where it each has 5 locations. Most of the locations overseas are in malls and military bases.
