    Amazing sandwich… FILTHY store!!! Start with the food. I cant say enough about how tasty, well spiced and all around fabulous the original cheesesteak was… peppers, onions, mushrooms all chopped together… cheesewiz… gotta have it! They dont cheat you either. Sandwich was overflowing with meat!…I hate hate hate to say this… but it needs to be said! My better judgement said… get your money back… leave now!! But I was so hungry!! Im am hoping that the grill top is better cleaned than the store. Im not sure if the floors have ever been cleaned… the fountain drink center… loaded with dried splashes and spills.. they just opened an hour prior to my arrival.. the place should be clean… just unbelievable how filthy the place is!! This could be a true gem… clean it up!!! Especially now!! If you are a germ a phobe… this isnt for you…. but its ashame because the food was truly excellent. Just hire a cleaning crew!!!     We had 3 Steak Hoagies and fries. They were to die for great job! We will return to this place. Only issue was that fries were just a little too salty. Too much of one item like salt doe not make them better.     We tried an original steak, an original chicken and an order of fries to go. The steak was very good. The chicken had good flavor except for the extreme saltiness. We ended up throwing out the original chicken because neither of us could get past…the salt. The fries were burned beyond recogintion so we threw those out as well. We’ll probably try it again but here’s some advice, check your order and try it before you leave the restaurant.     In 1959 John LaSpada opened a small cheese steak and hoagie shop in Parkside Delaware County PA. Its immediate success brought in the entire family for help selling the The best damn sandwiches in town! Family members include wife Yolanda, brother Charlie, as well as sisters and brothers in-law Mary, Josephine, Ernie, John, Gabby and Ray.

    In 1978 John and Charlies sons Raymond and Charlie Jr. take over the business. They continue the great family tradition of their fathers as co-owners of the now landmark LaSpadas The Original.

    In 1982 Charlie Laspada Jr. takes over sole possession of the business and brings longtime friend Bill Fromholzer in a partner. Together the purchase a famous hot dog stand called Chewys, to bring easier access to their customer base in Ridley Township. The new shop was named LaSpadas Original Steaks & Hoagies.

    In 1989 LaSpadas The Original in Parkside was sold to an employee to continue the rich tradition of LaSpadas Original. Charlie Jr. continued to run LaSpadas Original Steaks & Hoagies in Ridley Township and brought longtime employee, Tom Morrison in as a partner by 1991.

    In 2001 Charlie Jr. retired selling full ownership to Tom Morrison and his wife Debbie. After successfully running LaSpadas Original Steaks & Hoagies in Ridley, Tom and Debbie expanded to the Glen Mills Market in 2012, they partnered with to open LaSpadas Original Steaks and Hoagies on 202.

    Amazing food. Even more amazing service. They have anything you could ever think of. They have all the originals plus they make different sandwhiches than just your every day sub shop that are to die for. The curly fries are 10/10. Cooked perfectly. Everything is amazing.     Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure at LaSpada’s Original Steaks & Hoagies – 84
    1 1/2 pound top round steak
    Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
    1 teaspoon chopped rosemary leaves
    1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    4 hoagie rolls, sliced down the middle
    1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
    1/2 cup mayonnaise

    Steps:

    • Heat an outdoor grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Preheat the broiler.
    • Season the steak with salt and pepper, to taste. Grill the meat until it is medium-rare, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, mustard, rosemary, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
    • Remove the steak from the grill to a cutting board, cover it with foil, and allow it to rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak thinly and toss the slices in the Worcestershire sauce mixture.
    • Spread the rolls open and arrange on a baking sheet. Sprinkle each roll with a 1/4 cup of the cheese and put them under the broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbling, about 1 to 2 minutes.
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and hot sauce. Spread the mayonnaise onto the bottom of each roll. Put a quarter of the beef into each of the rolls. . Cover with the roll tops, cut in half and serve.

    In August 2010, Bill Fromholzer Jr. opened The Original Steaks & Hoagies in Twinsburg, Ohio-and introduced authentic Philly Cheesesteaks and Hoagies to Northeast Ohio. In the 1980s, Bill’s family owned and operated three Laspada’s Original Steaks & Hoagies Cheesesteak shops in the Philly area. These locations continue to be award-winning steak and hoagie shops today.Bill & his wife made a family decision to move back to the Philly area, so they began looking for someone to take over and maintain quality and standards. In 2017 new owners Jeff and Chef Josh took over and planned to not only keep that same quality product, but to expand the menu and company. On March 24th. 2018, National Cheesesteak Day, they stayed true to that plan and opened The original steaks and hoagies in thriving Fairlawn, Ohio.Originating in South Philadelphia in the early 1930’s the original Steak sandwich consisted of chopped steak & grilled onions served on an Italian roll. Provolone cheese was later added and the Cheesesteak was born. Over the years Cheez Whiz was added and has become the most popular cheese followed by American Cheese. This amazing combo of food is then slathered on Philadelphia’s own very popular Amoroso hearth baked roll.The Hoagie also originated in South Philly. An exact date is unknown, however, a Philly newspaper reported in 1953 that Italians working at the Naval Shipyard on Hog Island brought sandwiches to work stuffed with Italian
