This was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend going at least once but you will want to go again. We had George as our server and he was nothing less then amazing himself and very helpful and his suggestions were the best. Everything cooked to perfection and the drinks were just as good as the food. They will be seeing more of us I promise that.
Our waiter was very good. My husband really enjoyed his steak… I had salmon and it was fine… We had reservations somewhere else, but my husband wanted to go here and also play at the casino, lol…. It was a good dinner.

Were staying in Harpers Ferry looking for a Saturday night dinner. Most places closed in HF because out of season, so looked elsewhere. We were attracted by the menu of Alfredo’s we found on line: Persian, Spanish, French, Moroccan,…. And prices very reasonable. So we went. OK – first – very friendly and attentive wait service. Asked for recommendations from server and ordered Pollo a la Castellana : sauteed chicken breast with roasted red pepper, capers and artichokes in a lemon butter sauce served over pasta or rice. VERY good. Eat slowly and enjoyed every bite. My wife ordered Ghormeh Sabzi : steak, mixed greens and herbs cooked together and served over basmati rice. Yeah – also pretty good. We shared. Oh – Also – a platter of hummas and pita bread with salsa and maybe goat cheese automatically arrived very soon after we sat down. We will be eating here next time we come to HF and we will be recommending this place. Very satisfied.

A Brief History Of Thetiffin House
The Tiffin House, built by Dr. Edward Tiffin in 1787, is the oldest house in the original confines of Charles Town. Constructed of logs, it was later enlarged and faced with brick. The interior boasts fine Georgian mantles and a lovely curving staircase with a mahogany railing. Many of the original beams and boards, honed by the craftsman of the 1780’s can be seen yet today. Dr. Tiffin, born in 1766 near Carlisle, England, emigrated to America 1781 along with his family to Charles Town, Virginia . After studying medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, he returned to Charles Town to open his practice.In 1798, with a letter of recommendation for public office from George Washington, Dr. Tiffin moved to the Ohio Territory and later became the states first governor.

We visited several times over the last couple months. I had sushi both times, and my children have tried the udon and steak as well. All of it was delicious. Server was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Service was very fast. Orders taken promptly and food and drinks delivered fast as well.
Okay, they have some cool booths. But the food was lackluster, and I ended up with a wicked case of viral gastroenteritis after eating here.
A good restaurant for special occasion with family and friend around the hibachi grill. Try the steak and shrimp teriyaki serves with a generous amount of fried rice. Could use a little friendlier better service

Nice atmosphere, great pork chop and duck ravioli appetizer. Loved the truffle mac and cheese and the cheesecake was fabulous. Serve was wonderful. We will be back!

My wife and I ate here recently and it was a tale of really two separate experiences. The food was entirely adequate and we really didn’t have any complaints on that front. The meat came out at the right temp and was priced probably at…just around west Virginia can get away with. The service however was far below standards. Our server looked annoyed as we asked about various specials and cuts on the menu. It was almost like she was doing us a favor just to drop by the table. A good example is my wife having to ask to fill her water, then the server ignoring me and not refilling mine. Small yea, but you’re in a steakhouse charging $200 and this wouldn’t happen in Vegas or ACNJ. if you’re going to charge market prices in bigger cities, you need to match it with service.More

We stopped in on a Thursday morning for a quick breakfast. We each ordered muffins and coffee. My wife decided she wanted something less sweet. She ordered an egg and bagel sandwich. They only had Swiss and American cheese so she ordered it without. The waitress came out a little later and told my wife that she had some cheddar jack cheese if she would like. Of course she went with the cheddar jack cheese. It was very warm, moist and delicious on the toasted bagel.
