We ordered the rib-eye steak , which automatically came with a baked potato, side salad and garlic Texas toast and a grilled chicken stuffed potato , a side salad and a piece of New York cheesecake .
The well-marbled steak was nicely seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium-rare it was at least 12 ounces, maybe more. The baked potato was tender and topped with butter, sour cream and chives.
The potato was huge, filling a standard-size to-go box. It had a generous amount of grilled chicken strips with butter, sour cream, chives, bacon bits and shredded cheese.
The dinner salads included iceberg lettuce, purple cabbage, grape tomatoes, green peppers, and shredded yellow and white cheeses. A packet of blue cheese dressing was smooth and mild. The packet of ranch dressing we requested was missing.
We were so full that we saved the tasty cheesecake until the next day.
The aforementioned Grandpa Joe was Joseph Jabbour, who owned Joseph’s, a Lebanese-style steakhouse that closed in 1997. That’s where Mechil Sidawi learned to cook steaks and where he met his wife.

Ramsey Sidawi remembers when his Grandpa Joe used to take him to Cedar’s Deli for a po’ boy sandwich.
“He took me there pretty often,” Ramsey Sidawi said.
Ramsey Sidawi and his father, Mechil Sidawi, recently opened Ramsey’s Steak & Grill Delivery in the building that housed Cedar’s Deli.
Mechil Sidawi previously operated Ramsey’s Steak Delivery in several locations from 1990 to 2002.
“I closed it because my father was ill, and I lived overseas for a while,” Mechil Sidawi said. He said his son talked him into getting back into the business.
As the name implies, Ramsey’s is carryout and delivery only.
The menu is lengthy and has a lot of variety, including steaks, burgers, seafood, chicken dishes, stuffed potatoes, sandwiches, appetizers and desserts.
