I just tried their “Thai ‘R’ Cracker” sauce and thought it was very good as far as wing sauces go. It had a very solid balance of sweet and spicy. I love good wings, and this sauce definitely made these the best I’ve ever had! The fact that the wings were perfectly cooked helped as well. I hope I can find their sauces in the grocery store! I have a feeling that I have to buy them in their restaurants, though.

Quaker Steak and Lube has a big gluten-free menu with a lot of different food options to choose from. They do note that cross-contamination is possible due to their shared preparation environment and they do use common fryer oil for a few items like their tortilla chips and french fries.
However, they also say to let the manager know if you have any special dietary needs or a food allergy before placing your order so they can help you out. It may not be the best place for those who have Celiac Disease or are allergic to gluten, but we appreciate that they are open about their menu and hopefully will assist you with your gluten-free order.

I picked up a few bottles of Quaker Steak and Lube wing sauces the last time we were at in Cincinnati, including their Golden Garlic Sauce. I was anxious to fire up my Big Easy Winginator 3000 with some wings. If you dont have a Char-Broil The Big Easy TRU-Infrared Oil-less Turkey Fryer, just bake or grill the wings until done. The Quaker Steak and Lube Golden Garlic Sauce is the star of this show but dont skimp on the wings either.
I really like the Quaker Steak and Lube Golden Garlic sauce. It is definitely garlicky. You wont bite into a wing and think to yourself I thought this was supposed to have garlic in it. It brings the garlic. Look at the picture above. You can see how the Golden Garlic stacks up heat-wise to the other yummy Quaker Steak & Lube sauces here.
I cooked these wings up my standard way. An hour or so in my and then onto the Big Easy for another hour or so. Tossed with the sauce of choice and served with quality Ranch dressing and our homemade wing dipping sauce.

Take a frying pan, and add 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil over medium-low heat.
Step 2:
Fry pre-marinated the chicken wings finely for 15 minutes over medium-low heat.
Step 3:
Jiggle in whole of the Louisiana Lickers sauce for 15 seconds.
Serve immediately, and enjoy the super flavourful cracker wings.

I love chicken wings. Homemade or bottled sauce, just as great either way to me. And I love to be surprised by just how great some store-bought sauces are. Like this Quaker Steak and Lube medium Buffalo wing sauce. This is what a bottled sauce is supposed to be.
The perfect consistency. You want that. The perfect amount of heat. You need that. And that great classic Buffalo flavor. You deserve that. This is it, all in one sauce. It is nice and creamy to boot.
Anita and I always stop at the Quaker Steak and Lube outside of Cincinnati when we are in the area. They have a full menu and great service. I of course only get the wings. Because, like this medium Buffalo wing sauce, all of their sauces are fantastic. Theres not even a sort-of-ok sauce on the menu. Theyare all great!

Copycat Quaker Steak And Lube Thai R Cracker Wings
Whenever we are in the Cincinnati area we make a stop at Quaker Steak & Lube for wings. They have the best sauces and service around. Anitas favorite sauce there is Thai R Cracker, a somewhat sweet chili sauce. We also usually pick up a few bottles of sauce to take home. Those bottles dont normally last long, so I decided to make a copycat of the sauce. Just like the original, this chili sauce-based mixture combines a bit of sweet and a bit of heat all with a slight Asian zing. Its really, really good stuff. The kind of stuff that makes you want to lick your wings, which is borderline weird.
The secret to this copycat Thai R Cracker sauce is in the chili sauces you choose. Both garlic and sweet chili sauces come in a lot of different variations, making it difficult to match the original taste exactly. I recommend getting a few bottles of each different sauce and mix them and try them to find the combination that you prefer. Our local grocery store had several different brands of each. You can also try your local Asian market for others.

Held up as the be all end all of spicy wings for quite some time, we had to see if the Triple Atomic Wings held up to their molten name.
As a kid, the mother and father of the farm would take me on a yearly adventure to Sharon, Pennsylvania. There were three things that happened on those trips. Wed wander to Daffins Candies, see the Christmas lights at Kraynaks, and wed go to the OG Quaker Steak and Lube. I can still remember 10-year old Ron looking at the inappropriate photos on the bathroom walls, the cars hanging from the ceiling and the first exposure to spicy sauces for wings. In my head, Quaker Steak was the #1 wing spot, hands down. Who else could stack up to the enormous list of options, the cool green buckets of wings and the endless wing buffet?
The father of the farm eating a Triple Atomic wing. Always one to hide his pain, his face turned red, he started to sweat, and then his face went blank, surely burying the heat of the wing deep down. Six years later I tried one for myself and remember sitting with my tongue in blue cheese for a few minutes after. On our crusade for the spiciest dish in Columbus and our tolerance for sauces made with super hots, I wondered if these wings would still hold up. We headed off for their wing lunch buffet to test our meddle.
