Omaha Steaks Pricing And Plans

Ninja Foodi OMAHA STEAKS Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts / BAD REVIEW

Many meat delivery services focus most of their efforts on selling subscription boxes. These can be a good option for some customers but others may dislike them for several reasons. Omaha Steaks gives you the choice. The company calls their subscription boxes gift boxes since theyre often bought as gifts for someone else. These arrive at your home or the home of whoever you give them to every 1, 2, or 3 months for an entire year.

For example, you could purchase the Monthly Steak Gift Box, which is sent out once a month for a full year. The products in this box change every month, so youll get to try products like top sirloins, filet mignons, ribeyes, and flat iron steaks. Its a smart way to experience everything Omaha Steaks has to offer.

Beyond gift boxes and bundles, Omaha Steaks is proud to offer a wide selection of standalone products. These range in price, cut size, and quantity based on your specifications. For example, here are some of the companys best-selling products along with their starting price.

Easy Dinners For Busy Weeknights

Omaha Steaks is mainly known for their meats so I can bet most dont ever look at their skillet and slow cooker meals but to be honest we have swapped our meal subscription boxes for these because they are flash-frozen so they wont go bad if plans change and we dont get to them on a certain day this week. Plus, I have learned that they are safer than those boxed subscriptions too because there is no chance for contamination which is why I have included them in this review of Omaha Steaks.

How Do You Cook Omaha Steaks Foods

Unlike traditional meal kits, Omaha Steaks doesnt give you specific recipes to follow with their uncooked foods. And since the bulk of what they sell are meats, its important to understand how to best cook them or you could mess up the flavor by over or undercooking. Luckily, Omaha Steaks has a decent cooking chart here that explains the meat cooking process for grills , pans, ovens, and even air frying.

Omaha Steaks Company Info

Omaha Steaks was started in 1917 by a father and son who left Riga, Latvia, to escape religious persecution. Today, it’s operated by the 5th generation of the same family. Each generation of the Simons family has added something new to Omaha Steaks.

For example, the company recently introduced its Steaklover Rewards program. This program gives customers the chance to earn points on purchases, product reviews, and more. If you anticipate ordering from Omaha Steaks often, then you should sign up for the Steaklover Rewards program. Doing so will allow you to save money on future orders.

Shipping is an important thing to consider when purchasing meat online. Omaha Steaks has a somewhat dizzying pricing structure for this. If you purchase one of the companys pre-made bundles, you can have it shipped to your home for free. You can also earn free shipping by becoming a gold member of the Steaklover’s Rewards program. Either way, youll get the wagyu beef, Kobe, and other products you want without having to sit on a waitlist.

If you satisfy neither of these criteria, then youll have to pay for shipping. Standard charges range from $17.99 to $21.99 based on your orders subtotal. You can also have your order express or rush-shipped to you for an extra $19.99 or $39.99, respectively. This is relatively expensive compared to many other delivery services.

This Company Is Very Very

Amazon.com : Omaha Steaks Chicken Breast Trio : Grocery ...

This company is very very disappointing. Sent gift and it arrived 3 days overdue and meat was rancid and stunk whole house when opening. Dry ice evaporated and meat was in heat for 3 days till it arrived So embarrassed and mortified my gift arrived and caused such a horrific stench and problem disposing of it. Company said sorry and refunded my money. WHAT!!! Asked if new order could be sent next day air to compensate this mistake and supervisor said no It would cost them 49.00 to do that and they could not do that. Just sorry and money refunded. Not Service I would ever recommend.

All the food, except the chicken is good, but all the food is too small which makes the prices too high. One more thing, when I say too small, I mean way too small. Total ripoff.

What Is An Air Fryer

To put it simply, an air fryer is a hot air circulator appliance that is typically much smaller than a convection oven. An air fryer cooks your dish by flowing hot air in all directions around your food.

You can cook almost anything in an air fryer, and youll use little to no oil. If you typically cook with a good amount of oil or deep fry your food, this is a healthy alternative to get similar results in terms of taste and texture, with less calories.

Outside of making our delicious boneless chicken wings in your air fryer, we highly recommend making air fryer fries. Just slice a potato, lightly spray it with olive oil, and pop it into the air fryer. They take a bit more time than traditional fries, but the results are just as tasty while being low fat. Its also a nice side dish to serve with this air fryer buffalo wing recipe.

Final Thoughts: Who Is Omaha Steaks Right For

Omaha Steaks is one of the tougher reviews weve done. On one hand, their food is delicious and they have quite a lot of variety. On the other hand, the way they price their foods is confusing and can lead to one-off orders being very expensive.

However, my main gripe with Omaha Steaks though is their lack of transparency. Nearly every other meat delivery company we have reviewed in the past has been upfront about where they get their meat, the USDA grade of their meat, and the quality . It was nearly impossible for me to find any information about these things in my research.

With all that said, Omaha Steaks may not be the best value but they do provide the most convenience and variety when compared to nearly every other meat delivery service weve tested. This convenience and variety makes them a great option for people who are hosting big parties, holidays, or get togethers where there will be groups of people eating.

Plus, I cant deny that their food is delicious. Everything weve had in each box weve ordered since 2017 has had an abundance of flavorfrom the filet mignons to the chocolate lava cakes.

How Long Does Omaha Steaks Foods Stay Good In Their Packaging

Weve held on to frozen Omaha Steaks meat for over 3 months since purchasing it and havent had any issues cooking it after. Its important to note that the meat has to stay frozen through this whole time, since it can spoil thawing and being refrozen. Omaha Steaks says that their meats are vacuum sealed to last for up to three months in a properly working freezer.

Best: Omaha Steaks Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ninja Foodi OMAHA STEAKS Oven Roasted Chicken & Steak Fries REVIEW

A dish so delicious that a world-famous culinary school was named in its honor of course it made our list of best items to buy from Omaha Steaks. But this chicken dish didn’t earn its spot on reputation alone. The Omaha Chicken Cordon Bleu easily became a fan favorite for its plump, juicy flavor, tender taste and honey-sweet hickory smoked insides.

This isn’t just a meal, but an art form served directly to your door. Each piece of additive-free, premium boneless, skinless chicken breast is thoughtfully tenderized, flavored to perfection and prepped for stuffing, according to the company. Once Omaha Steaks’ “expert chefs” are finished methodically preparing the chicken, they then stuff the primed poultry with succulent Swiss cheeses which are, of course, hugged by a heavenly slice of hickory-smoked ham and gently breaded with panko breadcrumb. Is your mouth watering yet?

This Chicken Cordon Bleu was just shy of a perfect 5-star rating at time of publication, and we can only imagine it stems from not having this meal served straight to your plate from the Omaha Steaks kitchen. But fear not: This dish is flash-frozen and individually wrapped to retain optimal freshness on its way to your dinner table, according to the company. Don’t delay the inevitable and treat yourself to possibly one of the best servings of Chicken Cordon Bleu.

What Does Omaha Steaks Sell

Omaha Steaks website is a veritable database of meats, seafood, sides, and related products. The company sells multiple cuts of almost every type of meat you can imagine. This is a list that includes products such as:

Boneless Pork Chops Wild Alaskan Salmon

Omaha Steaks also packages its products together to save customers money. For example, you may be interested in purchasing the companys Surf and Turf Package. Youll receive a premium lobster and filet medley of 16 total items for just $199.00. You wont even have to pay for shipping!

You may also be interested in something like Omahas Ultimate Meals Assortment. This $139.00 package comes with everything you need to feed the family. Youll get a pot roast, meat lovers lasagna, chicken fried steaks, apple tartlets, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and more. Its another example of the many bundled options Omaha Steaks offers its customers.

Where Does Omaha Steaks Source Their Meat

Unfortunately, Omaha Steaks does not make it clear exactly where they source their meats from. Even in their blog article here where they talk about why their beef is better, they dont exactly mention where it comes from. They speak very vaguely about how they select the beef and where it comes from. All of this is a bit discerning considering that Omaha Steaks markets themselves as high-quality meat but fail to mention what makes them high-quality.

For Five Generations Omaha Steaks Has Been A Family Business

In the company’s century-long history, Omaha Steaks has remained a Simon family enterprise the current CEO and owner, Bruce Simon is the great-great-grandson of Omaha Steaks founder J.J. Simon. Simon has grown up in the family business and used to accompany his father to the plant as a child before working there during summer breaks from high school and college. This made Bruce Simon a natural choice to step into the position, as he had served various other positions within the company until 1994, when he became president and CEO.

Unlike other meat industry giants like Tyson Foods and Oscar Mayer, Omaha Steaks remains a privately owned company, meaning that investors cannot purchase shares of Omaha Steaks. While going public is typically looked at as a huge accomplishment for any major company, remaining a private, family-owned business has allowed the company to focus more on its long-term strategies, rather than constantly worrying about quarterly earnings.

Best: Omaha Steaks Gourmet Jumbo Franks

Who doesn’t love a good hot dog. Similar to the Omaha Steaks Italian Chicken Fingers, this meal gives us major childhood nostalgia. Now picture the best hot dog you’ve ever had and times it by 10 that’s what biting into one of these Gourmet Jumbo Franks tastes like.

Crafted with Omaha’s juiciest pork and beef and packaged into perfect, jumbo-sized franks, this dish is a flavor-filled meal for folks of all ages. Dubbed “the best hotdogs” by several customers, these Gourmet Jumbo Franks earned their reputation all on their own. One excited customer shared that he loves eating these dogs at NASCAR cookouts, and says he “put these bad boys up against my neighbors Ball Park Franks and these doggies blew them away. A neighbor asks what they were and where she could buy them. I replied Omaha, only Omaha.”

You don’t have to read the thousands of five-star reviews to know that these hot dogs are the best. Simply throw one on the grill, boil in water or poach and broil them, and you’ll taste the reason why so many customers keep coming back for more.

Grilling At It’s Best From Omaha Steaks

Filet Mignon, Top Sirloin Steaks, Chicken Breasts, Boneless Pork Chops, Steak Burgers, Stuffed Baked Potatoes! Are you hungry yet? Is your BBQ Grill ready? Cooking Outdoors friends on their way over? Were talking Omaha Steaks!

When I was invited to review an assortment package from Omaha Steaks for the 4th of July weekend, well I knew all of you wouldn’t allow me to say no. Actually I screamed YES!!! As it had been many years since I have tried their products , refusal was impossible.

The assortment package I received was impressive to say the least, all delivered in alarge Styrofoam box:

4 4oz Boneless Pork Chops

2 6oz Filet Mignon

2 6oz Top Sirloin Steaks

4 4oz Omaha Steak Burgers

4 1lb Chicken Breast

4 5.75oz Stuffed Baked Potatoes

Once I had these open my impression of them increased. I first looked at the Filet Mignon, about 2 thick and nicely marbled. The meat looked, felt and smelled fresh no sliminess or bad odors at all, color was what I expected, deep red. The Top Sirloin was no different just perfect.

The Chicken on the other hand took me by surprise, they looked small and manufactured. So I took out a store bought chicken breast to compare the two side by side. Now I could see why the chicken looked different, they had trimmed some of the fat and fatty tissue areas from the breast making for a very uniform piece of chicken. The advantages were then, very obvious uniform size equals uniform cooking. Saved me some work.

Omaha Steaks Is A True Rags To Riches Story

Ninja Foodi OMAHA STEAKS Chicken Fried Sirloin Steak Fritters | REVIEW

Believe it or not, Omaha Steaks hasn’t always been the meat industry mainstay it is today. The Omaha Steaks story begins not in Omaha, Nebraska, but actually in Riga, Latvia, during the 19th century. When the Simon family fled Latvia due to fervent antisemitism in the country, they eventually wound up in Omaha, where they were among the first waves of Jewish people to make their way into the city, according to Tablet Magazine, a Jewish cultural magazine.

The Simon family patriarch J.J. Simon and his son B.A. worked together as butchers which was the family trade back in their European homeland founding the Table Meat Supply Company in downtown Omaha in 1917. The company grew in popularity among local Omahans, and eventually changed its name to Omaha Steaks in 1966 as the company expanded out to sell their product in other states via the Union Pacific Railroad.

More than a hundred years after Omaha Steaks’ first inception as a company, the food delivery service has grown all across the nation, raking in around half a billion dollars in revenue as Tablet reported back in 2017. According to the Omaha Steaks website, the company has become the country’s largest direct response marketer of beef and gourmet food. Talk about fulfilling the American dream!

What Makes Omaha Steaks Different

Omaha Steaks has been around for more than 100 years, which is more than impressive, especially considering that although popular in general, meat delivery services tend to vanish as quickly as they enter the market. It takes a lot to keep up with the competition and Omaha Steaks seems to have what it takes to stay at the very top regardless of the changing market trends.

What has allowed this company to maintain its high market position for over a century is its dedication to a fully personal approach that makes it one of Americas most trusted family-owned butcheries. Currently run by the fifth generation of the family that started it all, it may sell millions of pounds of beef alone every year, but every meat product it delivers is aged to perfection and hand-cut by its team of experienced butchers. Its products are the exact opposite of the mass-produced, stale, and flavorless items that sit on the shelves of supermarkets across the country. Its focus on premium-quality, grain-fed, naturally raised, naturally aged, and hand-cut meat is what keeps its customers coming back for more.

As a thank-you to its loyal patrons, the company has launched its Steaklover rewards program. By purchasing its products, watching its videos, and referring friends, you earn reward points that you can exchange for free food, that is, Omaha Steaks most popular products.
