Make ahead: You can marinate the meat the night before to save yourself time. Just slice the steak and place it in a bowl, add the marinade, and then refrigerate until youre ready to cook.
Storing: Pepper Steak can last for 3-4 days in the refrigerator. Just make sure that it is stored in an airtight container to keep it fresh. To reheat it, you can either warm it in the microwave or on the stovetop.
Freeze: Allow the Pepper Steak to cool completely before placing it in an airtight container or ziplock freezer bag. You can freeze it for 2-3 months. How To Make Chinese Pepper Steak
Step 1: In a large skillet heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak to the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from skillet and place on a plate.
Step 2: Add 1 tbsp vegetable to skillet. Add the peppers and onions and cook for 3-4 minutes or until tender.
Step 3: Meanwhile add garlic, black pepper, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, beef broth, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and corn starch to a medium bowl. Stir until well combined and add to the skillet.
Step 4: Bring to a simmer and cook for 4-5 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.
Step 5: Serve hot over rice and garnish with sesame seeds. Enjoy!

- Beef Pepper Steak is usually made with top round beef steak that you need to cut into strips against the grain.
- Bell Peppers the recipe is usually made with green peppers, you can also use red, yellow or orange.

I use 90% lean ground beef for this recipe, I wouldnt recommend going any leaner than that as your patties might come out dry. The salisbury steaks do need to be browned before they hit the slow cooker. I typically just brown them in the morning while Im making breakfast for the family and then Im good to go. PRO TIP: Woks need to be seasoned just like a cast iron pan needs seasoning. It should come with a set of instructions on how to do so. It should go something like first, boil water in the wok.
