How Do You Make Olive Gardens Alfredo Sauce

I made OLIVE GARDEN Steak Gorgonzola BETTER | Sous Vide Everything

So, if you arent keen on buying a jar of alfredo sauce, you can make your own, really easy. Although this isnt their exact recipe, it tastes oh-so-close!

Heres how:

Youll need, 3 tablespoons butter, 2 cups heavy whipping cream, salt and pepper to taste, ½ tablespoon minced garlic, and ½ cup grated parmesan cheese.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Sautee the garlic until fragrant. Whisk in the flour. Add the heavy cream and grated cheese and whisk until the sauce thickens. Salt and pepper to taste.

How Do You Make Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo

For this recipe youll need your favorite steak , fettuccine pasta, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, Gorgonzola and Pecorino Romano cheeses, either aged balsamic or balsamic drizzle, heavy cream, butter and flour.

It sounds like a lot of ingredients, but many I have on hand all of the time.

You will also need to do a bit of multi-tasking for this recipe, but the entire meal was ready in 30 minutes. First, you can grill the steak, boil the water for the pasta and portion out your other ingredients at the same time.

I used my indoor Cuisinart griddler to grill a rib eye steak I had cut into medallions so they cooked a lot quicker. You can also cook your steak on a regular grill. Once the steak is done to your liking, remove it from the heat and set aside.

While the steak is grilling, get a big pot of water going on top of the stove. Bring it to a boil then add the fettuccine and cook until the pasta is al dente.

Drain the water and return the pasta back to the pot. At the same time you can also portion out the remainder of your ingredients and get them ready to add once the pasta is done.

Now its time to make the alfredo sauce which is butter, flour, heavy cream and Pecorino Romano cheese. Add all of these ingredients to a small saucepan and cook over medium high heat for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens then pour the sauce over the cooked fettuccine.

Add the spinach to the pot and mix well. The heat from the sauce will wilt the spinach.

Had Minestrone Soup House Salad With Croutons

    Olive Garden Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo

Paying the price for eating Minestrone soup and salad at Olive Garden tonight! Wheezing and lung congestion! Hopefully I wont pay a higher price later tonight! My regrets! Next time I will say pass on this restaurant as there is such a limited menu! Tried to satisfy my 88 year old mother that is tired of her lockdown at the assisted living home.

Ive enjoyed eating dairy-free at Olive Garden a few times now. I usually get some sort of pasta with the meat sauce Im not vegan, just have a milk protein allergy. So yesterday I decided a little more meat was in order and asked for 3 meatballs. Found out this morning at the mirror that Id obviously gotten into some dairy somewhere. Googled, found your site, and the culprit is the meatballs. Oh well, live and learn! Also, if you are eating in the restaurant, they usually bring the salad already tossed with their signature dressing. The dressing is NOT dairy-free, so youll need to ask them to bring it on the side.

Selecting Your Cheeses For The Alfredo

Cheese is definitely the star here, so ideally you want to get good quality cheese, especially the Parmesan. None of that ground, canned stuff!

I love to buy wedges of Parmesan Reggiano cheese and use one of my favorite tools, a food processor, to shred the brick and then I keep it in my refrigerator in plastic bags so that I always have fresh, quality cheese shredded on hand.

The cheese makes a difference here, so I strongly recommend buying the fresh cheese.

True Parmesan cheese can be expensive, but there are variations that taste very similar.

I tend to get Romano or Parmesan Romano for the same taste with a lower price tag.

And while the recipe calls for Gorgonzola cheese, any type of blue cheese works great!

What makes this dish so amazing is truly the balsamic.

The acidity cuts through all of the richness, plus balsamic is just amazing in general. On everything. So good.

And yes, this dish is quite rich, being made from cream and all.

But I find that because it is heavy, I eat a lot less of it so it is not all that bad, right??!?

Plus, the tomatoes, spinach, and steak make it stretch pretty far as well

I also love to use this quick and easy balsamic glazeon top to help cut through the richness of the sauce.

My husband is so in love with this balsamic glaze, he will not eat this any other way now!

I hope you enjoy this Copycat Olive Garden Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo!

    Tis Always The Season

Olive Garden is known for delicious and iconic seasonal dishes. Theres no need to mourn the changing of the menu, though. If the kitchen is stocked with the ingredients needed to make a special dish, the chefs will happily do so. For instance, the fan-favorite chicken fettuccine Florentine can be made year round! Just ask for chicken fettuccine with spinach.

    Ingredients In Steak Gorgonzola Alferdo:

    • sirloin steak
    • Alfredo Sauce

    Wheres the tomato?

Well, Kelsie has an allergy to tomatoes, so we omit this ingredient. However, you can purchase the jar of sundried tomatoes, and place ¼ cup chopped sun dried tomatoes right at the end, before you plate up.

    To make balsamic glaze:

Place your balsamic vinegar in a small pot and heat to boiling. Once it reaches boiling, reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes or so. Your looking for a slightly thickened texture.

Or you can buy your own now! It tastes just the same, and it wont stink up your kitchen. Just look for balsamic glaze with other condiments.

Review Of Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Restaurant detailsDining options:Description:Great service steaks cooked perfectly.

We had great service here and the food was wonderful. My husband and I both got steak and both were cooked how they were ordered. The past few times I have gotten a steak out at a restaurant it has come out VERY well done instead of medium-well. These were cooked perfectly. Our service was excellent as well a very friendly staff. We would go here again.

Yummy food, easy access, good service, one of my favorite spots in Erie!

    • Value

Since Olive Garden bailed on Canada back in 1997 I have been a few times when I am down in the US. Same bread sticks, same trademark cutlery lol. My latest visit was at the Millcreek Mall in Erie PA. The staff are friendly, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. The food portions are enormous! not for the diet concious ) I love the never ending pasta bowl!! There is a wait as this location is very busy, but we were seated very quickly by the professional staff. The food quality is good, no complaints. The menu does mention something about the kitchen staff training and learning either in Tuscany or from those who have trained in Tuscany – I really should have taken a pic of that. I highly doubt it lol. Parking is ample too. This is a much better Olive Garden than ones I have visited in MA and GA in the past. Good memories, good food I will go again for sure 🙂

Copycat Olive Garden Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo

    Olive Garden Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo

This Copycat Olive Garden Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo recipe is just like the restaurant favorite! Enjoy restaurant take out at home.

I love alfredo, but it is so incredibly rich and heavy that it is very difficult to eat a lot of it .

After I had the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo at Olive Garden, I knew I had to make my own copycat version.

    This post contains affiliate links.

My standard creamy alfredo sauceis pretty amazing, if I may say so myself. I had a hard time finding an alfredo recipe that was worth it and finally, I figured it out!

So I took the base of my alfredo sauce and turned it into my version of a Copycat Olive Garden Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo and then other variations like the classic Copycat Olive Garden Fettuccine Alfredo.

I personally think it is better than Olive Garden, so you will have to check it out!

    Vegetarian Options And Modifications

For those who want to save the animals, there are many options on the Olive Garden menu that dont require killing a soul. And for those irresistible entrees that you want, but dont want to include meat, you can just ask for them to substitute it with a vegetable, or more pasta, in some cases.

The downfall to this is that with the meals that include meat, you pay a premium for a good cut of meat tenderly cooked to perfection, but you forfeit the meat. Try to avoid ordering something with meat, only to get just the pasta, because youre innately spending more money than you should. However, sometimes duty calls, and its understandable if you want to spend the extra few dollars for the best meal even if it doesnt have meat.

Do your best to find an option without meat initially, but if you cant discover the perfect choice, the Olive Garden staff is always willing to help you find the right fit.

    Olive Garden: Chicken Alfredo

With dozens of mix-and-match pasta possibilities , it’s the big, creamy bowl of Olive Garden’s Chicken Alfredo that continues to top the restaurant’s list of most-popular entrees. Sliced grilled chicken is served over tender fettuccine pasta and doused in OG’s signature homemade Alfredo sauce, which is made from scratch daily. We think that’s exactly what the restaurant’s iconic breadsticks are for mopping up all that rich cream sauce.

Ah, Olive Garden. Home of deep-fried lasagna, never-ending pasta, and unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks. This cult-favorite chain is known for its Italian-inspired cuisine, but how authentic is it really? Read on to find out the MAJOR differences between Olive Garden and an authentic Italian eatery.

    1. “Italian” Dressing

Lets start with the salad. OG is known for its house salad, aka the bottomless bowl of greens that is set on the table at the start of each meal. Its topped with Olive Gardens signature Italian dressing, and while “Italian” might be in the name, it is 100 percent NOT authentic. Olive Gardens Italian dressing is packed with tons of ingredients, including a variety of oils, vinegar, eggs, salt, cheese and garlic. In Italy, however, most salads are relatively simple and topped with just salt, pepper, oil and vinegar.

    2. Fluffy Breadsticks

    3. Fettuccini Alfredo

    4. Dollops of Sauce

    5. Parmesan Cheese Overload

    6. Giant Meatballs

    7. Chicken Served with Pasta

    8. Beverages Other Than Water or Wine
