We stay in a local hotel and have ordered here several times over the last couple of weeks. We order online because you can save your favorites and makes for easy ordering. The steak is some of the best I’ve ever had. The price is…fair but the delivery absolutely stinks! When you place your order it must auto reply with a 45 minute delivery time. I understand that they would rather have me in the establishment but after a long day of work sometimes you just don’t want to go anywhere. It’s worth the wait but very frustrating that it takes so long. Do yourself a favor and prepare for an hour delivery time then you won’t be disappointed.More

I have to admit, I had my reservations about the idea of delivery steaks. It seemed almost as though they were turning the ultimate home-cooked treat into fast food. And that, of course, would be unacceptable. So when I got the assignment to review Steak Express, the newly opened take-out and delivery steakhouse in town, I wasn’t looking forward to it.
Working late one night, a few of my co-workers decided to give the regional chain restaurant a try. Our city editor said her chopped steak was among the best she’d ever had and our news editor made similar comments about his steak. They must never have had the pleasure of a really great steak, I thought, after all, neither of them are from Texas.
Nearly waiting until the last minute before the deadline for this review, I reluctantly ordered dinner from Steak Express. The restaurant serves Nolan Ryan beef, and all entrees come with a salad, baked potato and dinner roll. The restaurant has a full menu on its Web site and allows customers the option of ordering online. Prices seemed about average for steaks with a 6-ounce ribeye for $10.99 and a 10-ounce sirloin for $13.99, including sides.
