    The best way to cook Wagyu steak is, in our culinary book at least, the only way to cook it. Forget all about using any other ingredients, all you need to concentrate and focus on is the steak.

    Nothing else matters. And all you need to cook a Wagyu steak to mouth-watering perfection is a good skillet, high heat, and the right amount of time.

    Youve probably already guessed the methodology that were going to tell you to use, but even though were repeating ourselves, were going to tell you how to do it again.

    Make sure your skillet is hot, and when we say hot, we mean really hot, add a little olive oil and a few fat trimmings from your steak to the skillet, and then let them simmer for sixty seconds.

    Add your steak to the skillet and cook it for three minutes for a rare sear and finish or four for a medium one. Take the steak out of the skillet, let it rest for six or seven minutes, and then tuck straight in and enjoy the ride to steak heaven.

  • Take meat out of the fridge and unwrap it. Wait until it reaches room temperature
  • Pat the meat dry.
  • If youre going to trim some fat to sear with, trim a little fat off now. Around a small pinky finger size will work.

  • Heat up your pan, grill plate, or skillet. It should be hot enough that when you flick water at it, it boils off immediately.
  • Place beef tallow or trimmed fat onto the hot surface until it melts. Swirl it around to make sure youve got decent coverage.
  • Place the strips on the pan to sear.Sear for around 1 minute until the bottom side is golden brown, then flip and sear another minute. Then sear on the remaining two sides for around 30-45 seconds until the meat is seared evenly all around. Note: refrain from poking, squishing, flipping, or sliding the meat while it sears. If your strips are thicker, you can also slide a meat thermometer into the strip and place in the oven at 300ºF to finish at your desired temperature for doneness.

    Well, the best bit of advice that we can give you, is to cook it carefully. Actually, it all depends on how thinly youve sliced your beef, and how well you like it cooked.

    One of the most important things to remember is that if youre going to slice the steak into strips, make sure you use a great cut of meat like a Wagyu Tenderloin.

    As long as the prime ingredient is right, you wont have to do a lot of work to bring out all of the great flavors of Wagyu.

    As soon as your pan is hot, drop your steak slices in, flash fry them on both sides until theyre seared, and cooked the way that you like your steak. If you want any extra flavor, there are plenty of sauces that you can whip up to add a little extra something.

    But the only one youll need with Wagyu, and the perfect accompaniment for it, is a nice thick peppercorn sauce.

    The upper-mentioned recipe is the recommended method to make the most out of the Wagyu Beef/Steak. But, if you like more an oven roasted Wagyu Steak, then this quick step-by-step recipe will come in handy. This is very similar to the previous recipe but is more focused on letting the steak cook more in the Oven than in pan.

    Note: This way of cooking may be necessary when your steak is too thick to cook while pan searing.

    Step 1: Pre-heat the oven to 400°F.

    Step 2: Start by pan searing the steak in both sides until it has a golden crust.

    Step 3: Then, place the steak and the pan in the oven.
