How To Cook Air Fryer Hot Dogs

Omaha Steaks Filet Mignon Grilled Steak Review

Start by preheating your air fryer to 400 degrees. Think ofit like preheating a grill. It only takes a few minutes.

Once preheated, place each hot dog inside the air fryer inone even layer. Do not crowd the air fryer as this recipe works best with moreair movement throughout the machine.

If you have a smaller air fryer and need to cook extra hot dogs, you can cook in batches. This recipe is so quick that its worth it.

Cook the Air Fryer Hot Dogs for 4 minutes, moving the baskethalfway through to rotate them, just like you would on a grill. If they dontmove by slightly tipping the basket, you can use some tongs.

This recipe is for skinnier hot dogs, like Ball Park orNathans hot dogs. If you are cooking a thicker variety, like our localZwiegles hot dogs.

While the hot dogs are cooking, slice each hot dog bun downthe middle if they are not already sliced.

Remove the hot dogs from the air fryer and place each oneinto a hot dog bun.

Place the hot dogs with their buns back inside the air fryer and cook on 400 degrees for 1-2 additional minutes.

This allows your bun to get toasted, which is a nice addedtouch when eating hot dogs!

One red flag I ran into when researching Omaha Steaks is that they dont share the grade of beef they use.

If youre unfamiliar, the USDA grade shields are quality grades used in the beef industry to help people understand the class of beef their getting.

  • Prime beef is from young, well-fed cattle. It generally has a lot of fat or marbling.
  • Choice beef is high quality but has less fat than prime beef.
  • Select beef is the leanest beef.
  • Standard and Commercial grades of beef are usually sold as ungraded or as store brand meat.

Another red flag I ran into when researching Omaha Steaks meat quality is that no where do they mention if their meats have hormones or antibiotics. In fact, I literally searched the entire site and couldnt find any mention of hormones and only one product page that mentions no antibiotics were used in raising the animal.

Since prime ribs and ribeye steaks come from the same primal cut of beef, the difference in their flavors comes from the way they are cooked. Prime ribs are seared and then roasted slowly under low heat, making them more tender, while ribeyes are grilled quickly over high heat, making them more charred.
