What Is Cube Steak
I couldnt really answer you without doing some research. I mean, I know its beef that looks like it has been sort of perforated, but I wouldnt call that a real definition. According to Wikipedia: Cube steak is a cut of beef, usually top round or top sirloin, tenderized by fierce pounding with a meat tenderizer, or use of an electric tenderizer. The name refers to the shape of the indentations left by that process called cubing.
With all that use of the word tenderizer, youd think this would be a very tender cut of meat. Actually, not so much, at least not until you cook it right. If you want to get tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat, you need to slow cook your cube steaks. If you are OK using a knife and fork and your molars, then you can use cube steaks for country fried steak or other quick preparations.

How Do Freezers Prevent Steak From Spoiling
Freezers preserve the quality and freshness of the steak by preventing the growth of microorganisms and delaying enzyme activity. This is achieved by freezing the water that microorganisms require to thrive.
The best thing about freezing your steak is the fact that it wont lose any of its nutrients.

The Ins And Outs Of Marinading
This marinade ticks all the boxes for a perfectly balanced marinade that will create the perfect flavor. Here are some know hows for the perfect marinade everytime.
- Keep it in the Fridge: When you marinate raw meat, it should be kept in the fridge to prevent bacteria from growing. Keep it tightly sealed in the fridge for the entire time. Remove when ready to cook.
- Do Not Reuse Marinade: Because the marinade has been sitting in raw meat it should be discarded immediately and not reused. If you want to baste your meat with more marinade while cooking, make a fresh batch that has not come in contact with raw meat. Never serve marinade that has come in contact with raw meat on the side.
- How Long to Marinate: Meat can be marinaded anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours. Be careful to not over-marinate as it can entirely break down your meat or make it tough.
- What cuts work best for Marinating: Thinner, flatter pieces of meat work better for marinating than large ones like a roast. You can slice up larger cuts into serving size or even bite-size to get better flavor and tenderization.
- What to use: I like to use a large enough zip-lock plastic bag to put the marinade and meat together. Remove as much air as possible from the bag. You want as much of the marinade to touch the meat as possible. Then place the bag in a shallow pan so that the meat can lie flat and place it in the fridge. Flip the bag over halfway through marinating to make sure all the meat is equally flavored.

How Do You Make Garlic Butter Herb Steak Bites

- Turn the skillet to high heat. Add the steak bites. Let the steak sear for a minute and then continue to stir the steak until they are golden brown.

What Cut Of Steak Is Best For Marinating
Leaner cuts of steak like flank steak, hangar steak, or flap steak are the prime candidate for this style of marinade to create a flavorful steak ready to cook in just 30 minutes. You can also choose to marinate overnight. Id avoid letting the sauce sit longer than a day in the marinade because the steak will break down too much and become soft and mushy.
A good cut of meat can also be marinated, but we prefer to keep them pure, maybe with some added flavor of butter, garlic and thyme. If you do however want to try it on a thicker cut of meat, allow for at least 8 hours for the sauce to infuse.

How To Make Honey Garlic Steak Bites
We are going to start with making our honey garlic sauce: in a small mixing bowl you will want to combine water, low sodium soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, dried oregano, and cornstarch.
Next, you are going to heat up a cast iron skillet until it is smoking hot. Literally smoking hot. The best sizzle for these steak bites can only happen if your skillet is really hot.
Season the steak bites however you like, but I suggest to use some salt and pepper, plus sweet paprika. If not using low sodium soy sauce, I advise not to salt the steak at all.
Add steak bites to the hot oiled skillet and sear for only a few minutes. TIP: DO NOT crowd the pan cook the steak bites in 2 batches.
Place all steak bites back in the pan and stir in the honey garlic sauce. Cook for 1 to 2 more minutes, or until sauce thickens.
Remove from heat transfer to a serving plate, drizzle the pan sauce over your steak, garnish with sesame seeds and serve.
Drizzle the sauce over some rice, or broccoli, or mashed potatoes, too! YUM!
So much flavor and so easy to throw together, these awesome steak bites are irresistibly juicy, tender, and infused with steak dinner perfection.

How To Cook Steak On The Stovetop
Pan-searing is the best way to cook a steak, and its also the easiest!
I love the kind of dinner that you can cook without a recipe. The truth is, good cooking is more about technique than recipes and the best dishes are often the simplest to prepare. A properly cooked steak is case in point. With just a few ingredients and a single pan, you can cook a steak thats as delicious as one youd order in a high-end steakhouse.
The key is knowing how to pan-sear. Pan-searing is a classic technique in which the surface of the food is cooked undisturbed in a very hot pan until a crisp, golden-brown, flavorful crust forms. Its the key to building flavor and texture in a dish. It also prevents sticking and gives your food a restaurant-quality look. Pan-searing is the absolute best way to cook a steak , and it also happens to be the easiest.
