  • Preheat the oven to 275 °F. Place the steaks on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
  • Place the baking sheet on the center rack of the hot oven. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 10°F below the desired final temperature.

    • WELLDONE: Cook for about 6 minutes on each side until internal temperature reaches 165° F the steak is tougher, drier, and darker as more proteins coagulate and force moisture from cells. Steak feels like the base of the thumb when the thumb and little finger touch.

    My favorite pan to cook a Steak is a 12-inch cast-iron skillet from the lodge they come preseason as a grill pan or not. Try out perfectly grilled chicken breasts or grilling up some sweet summer peaches for a BBQ flavor.

    Another new-entrant Id like to shout out is Crowd Cow. This steak start-up actually crowd funds grass-fed beef from local farms and ranchers and ships it all across the US. Its not currently available in all states, and theres many times that ordering is unavailable. The prices are also up there, but are often comparable to Omaha, if not a little more expensive. So, look into it if Omahas steaks dont cut it. You might get lucky and fall within their steak delivery zone.

    To sum it up, there is definitely better steak to buy online, but only if youre willing to take out a loan to pay for it. Omaha offers convenience and fast shipping with an extensive product line and a fairly reasonable price. For some families, that will be more than enough.
