At least 82 Steak n Shake restaurants permanently closed in 2020, some due to poor performance and some to implementation of the new service model, with some proceeds from the sales going to the new stores. A total of 57 locations have been temporarily closed, and the company is planning to reopen most of them once again.

So I ordered 3 shakes last night for delivery, it says my order was delivered but I never got my shakes. I try and call the number to the store, it rings once then disconnects the calls. I am owed a refund here or some replacement shakes. I don’t know where the driver delivered to but hope someone enjoyed our shakes. Highly disappointed here. There should be a zero rating for this store.
Ordered curbside, worker came out and asked my husband if his name was Bruce, and when he was told no, he went back inside with the order. 20 minutes later I went in to see what’s going on and the worker explained he said the wrong name. He had my order the entire time, knew he screwed up, and yet didn’t bother to come back outside.
Really good classic steak and shake food but with the updated system and interior. They’re still fixing some kinks in the system so there were a few mistakes on our order. There was onions on my chili when I didn’t want them and if that’s all that I can complain about I think they’re doing a good job.
