Larry Steaks at 920 West Girard Avenue, a branch of the popular St. Josephs University cheesesteak shop was
burglarized early in the morning of Thursday, August 20th. According to the Philadelphia Police, an unknown male gained entry to Larrys Steaks located at 920 West Girard Avenue by shattering the front door glass of the business. Once inside the suspect took two cash registers containing an unknown amount of cash then fled in an unknown direction.
No Belly Fillers were reported taken in the theft.

Larrys Steaks has been a favorite on St. Joes campus since 1956. In recent years the cheesesteak shop has added locations at 9th and Girard and in Feasterville.

Melt in our mouth steak. Cant say enough great things about the food. The fried green tomatoes, the salads, the steak, all delicious. The bread pudding was the BEST we have ever eaten. Service was excellent.
Service was excellent . The food was amazing and came out quickly . The bartender is well knowledgeable and has a unique variety of whiskeys . It was a very pleasant experience and we will be back .
One of the best meal i had! I took the surf & turf. Service was good, price was reasonable, decoration was nice and give it a nice vibe.
We were on a road trip and Richmond Hill was a convenient stop. Our hotel recommended Local 17 but the area near our hotel was packed with fast foos chain restaurants and we did not have high expectations. Our first surprise was the parking lot…which was packed and people were waiting for tables outside the front door. We had a reservation and we were promptly seated. Our server was nice, efficient and informative. We shared fried green tomatoes and it had a spicy salsa as an interesting twist. The surf and turf was delicious and the steak was perfectly cook and extreme tender. We could not finish the generous portion of bread pudding which had enough calories for a week.More
