The Central Park Boathouse Ownership Saga Continues
The city reportedly turned down a $6 million offer by billionaire investor Andrew Murstein to take over the iconic boathouse and hand the management keys back to former owner Dean Poll, according to the New York Post. Poll had previously announced that he was shutting down the boathouse in October because of unsustainable operating costs. The offer was allegedly turned down because the citys Office of Management and Budget wanted more money for the hot-ticket space.

Came to DC for the Team Justice Gathering and could not have been more impressed with the restaurant, the food, the staff. Coming to Charlie Palmer Steak was the highlight of my trip.
Four adults and two young children well received, very well looked after.Excellent food and perfect wine and two notes for the chef to bear in mind: his/her Béarnaise was absolute rubbish and he/she should use less salt on chips and vegetables….More
Admittedly – this was a business lunch with a large gathering – in the private room – so my experience is not directly related to private dining. Service was fine – the menu was limited to the king salmon or the strip steak. Neihbors got…the fish – and it looked nice. I got the strip steak. It was not a thick cut that I expected, but it was tasty and cooked to medium rare, as requested. The sides – mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and asparagus were good – especially the latter. Sponge cake was my kicker – but most ordered the cheesecake which looks just like pictured above. Overall – it was fine – not great meal.More
Various desserts over time:- Cheesecake Dessert- Chocolate Dessert*I have to somehow hit the 100 minimum talking about dessert…
Our first and last visit to this glorified Steakhouse of less than one star. It is more like a Sizzler but with astronomical prices. If you have a special celebration, dont bother to come here if you expect top-notch service.
