Hub & Spoke Diner’s Thanksgiving Day Buffet on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, will include their classic dishes as well as roasted turkey with turkey gravy, a gluten-free stuffing, mashed potatoes, sautéed green beans, candied yams, cranberry sauce, rolls, fresh fruit and a house salad.

Cooking a Thanksgiving meal, lets face it, requires a considerable amount of preparation and work. Aside from the turkey, every family member has a favorite side dish they just have to eat. Then come dessert preferences.

For those wanting to have a more relaxed Thanksgiving this year, but still craving a traditional meal, these restaurants in the Salt Lake City area and in Park City will be serving food, offering carryout or catering on Thanksgiving Day.

The service was horrible and there were only four tables with patrons, with two waiters for the four tables. A small prime rib was $26, the cheapest meat on the menu except for a hamburger. My daughter and I ordered french onion soup while we were deciding. It came out cold and the waiter disappeared for 10 minutes or so. When he eventually came back into the room, he didn’t look in our direction. It took some arm waving to get him to notice us. He never became any more attentive. Beyond this, his demeanor was as cold as the soup. . We were getting a bad feeling, so we sent the soup back to be heated and ordered the salad bar. The very limited salad bar was fresh and good. After we eventually found our waiter so we could pay and go, it was over $40 for 2 soups and a salad. If we actually had eaten a full dinner, it would be running more than $50 a head.
