ARIGATO is a restaurant that I have been wanting to try going to for a long time now. I finally went to Arigato Japanese restaurant with my family this week. We enjoy the cuisine from many different countries and cultures and often find Japanese food to taste so fresh and amazing.
The Japanese food at this restaurant, Arigato is so delicious!! I had the idea to go to Arigato Japanese restaurant on the evening of the Fourth of July because we can get a really good view of professional quality fireworks in that area. Indeed, the plan worked! I loved eating at Arigato Japanese Restaurant.
We enjoyed a splendid dinner at ArigatoJapanese Steak and Seafood House from about 7:45-8:45pm on the evening of the 4th of July and when we exited the restaurant building after our meal, we were able to see some amazing fireworks right in that same area. It was wonderful! The kids loved the exciting fireworks!

- The chef did lots of tricks and really put on a show with the knife cutting and prepping of the vegetables and other foods.
- We were seated at a large table with other diners including a young lady celebrating her 19th birthday with two of her friends. The flames shot up high on the hot surface as is often part of the demonstration at these types of hibachi restaurant set ups. We were very impressed.
- My youngest son was seeing this type of cooking demonstration for the first time and he was very excited.
- Then he still had those fireworks to go see for even more excitement!

There was a 5-way tie: 1618 Seafood, Arigato, Olive Garden, Tavo and Village Tavern.
Arigato Japanese Steak and Seafood House wins. And true to the viewer votes, Arigato is booked for Valentine’s Day.
Why such a favorite? Maybe because it’s dinner and a show?

When Derecke asked Marion where she wanted to go on date night she quickly said, “Arigato’s”. The couple was at the restaurant the night 2WTK was there.
That same couple conversation happens a lot apparently. Arigato goes through 2,000 pounds of shrimp a week. and 80,000 pounds of rice.
“It’s cooked right in front of you. It’s freshly made, it’s hot. Instead of cooking just rice we blend our rices. We use a Japanese rice along with a long grain rice it gives it flavor and light texture which is the best parts of both.”
Yes, food is at the heart of it all, even the show.

Now back to talking about the restaurant itself. My much anticipated visit to the restaurant, Arigato Japanese Steak and Seafood House did not disappoint in the least. I am so glad that we finally went to that Japanese restaurant. We did not waste any of our delicious food from the restaurant. We brought home our leftovers from the Arigato Japanese restaurant in to – go boxes at the end of our meal and as we walked in the door of our home we were still remarking about what a marvelous time we had at Arigato Japanese Steak and Seafood House restaurant.
Dinner At Arigato Japanese Steak And Seafood House On The 4th Of July
All of the food selections at Arigato Japanese Steak and Seafood House were fresh and tasty. We ended up going beyond our food budget and ordering a bit more than we had planned to because everything on the restaurant foodmenu looked so good!
I have spoken in past restaurant reviews that I have written about how I do not always purchase kids meals for my kids when we go to restaurants. Sometimes, it seems like a more cost effective, better deal to just let them share and adult sized entrée but on this 4th of July occasion, I did go ahead and purchase kids meals / childrens entrees for them. The childrens entrees at Arigato Japanese Steak and Seafood House are a good deal with generous serving sizes. The portion of the childrens entrée special was offered at a cost of $8.75. One of my sons wanted the chicken fried rice childrens entrée. My other son wanted the steak fried rice childrens entrée.

It was a lovely evening for us at Arigato Japanese Steak and Seafood House. The person celebrating a birthday at our table as well as people celebrating birthdays at other tables were presented by the staff with dessert while there was the loud banging of drums by a group of well-wishers.
If you are visiting Greensboro, North Carolina or live in Greensboro, North Carolina, I highly recommend that one day you try going out to dinner at Arigato Japanese Steak and Seafood House on South Holden Road. You will have a great time.
